The decision to become a follower of the Jesus is the most important decision anyone can make. Jesus said it was like a new birth (John 3:18). So many things become new. A new relationship with God and a new power to live according to his purposes. A new hope of eternal life and a new purpose in life. There are new relationships, new desires and motivations, new commitments, new beliefs and attitudes, and new challenges. It really is a new beginning. Thats why weve produced the New Beginnings New Testament with lots of resources specially designed to help new Christians as they begin their Christian life. Written by a team of theologians and evangelists across Australia and led by consulting editor Mike Raiter, author, preacher and a former principal of the Melbourne School of Theology, it is our prayer that the New Beginnings New Testament will help new Christians grow in their understanding and love of God.
