What Is - Michael Torre - Scepter (Paperback)Although a naturally intellectual subject matter, What Is gives us a unique conversational tonewhat the author calls a personal accountto metaphysics that invests in the idea that philosophy is relatable to our basic concerns and conversations. Tackling the subjects of Being, Truth, God, good and evil and other metaphysical subject matterfrom the perspective of Thomas Aquinas and Catholicism, What Is inspires personal reflection and encourages the logic of Faith and Truth. As a believer that Aquinas himself had a Neoplatonic and Augustinian approach to his thought, the author confidently leads us through what can often be an abstruse topic in a comprehensive and accessible manner.
