JEFFREY D ARTHURS

Do you sometimes catch folks nodding off during your Sunday message? Arthurs points to the creative imagination of the Master Communicator as a solution. He recommends shaping your sermon based on one of the six styles used by the writers of Scripture itself---psalms, narrative, parables, proverbs, epistles, and apocalyptic literature. Chapters feature practical "try this" suggestions and a quick checklist for each genre.

Jeffrey D. Arthurs(Ph.D. Purdue Univ.) teaches preaching at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
