Ideal for any church or classroom

The NRSV Pew Bible is a durable hardcover Bible, featuring the complete text of the New Revised Standard Version (Protestant canon), vetted by an ecumenical pool of Christian academics and renowned for its beautiful balance of scholarship and readability.

The most broadly representative translation team yet assembled worked to bring us the NRSV - a translation as literal as possible. Key changes from the Revised Standard Version include replacement of archaic words, revision of English words that have changed in meaning, correction of confusing word order, use of common-gender words where intended, and improvement in the sound and clarity of text when read aloud.
